Ingredients:
For Thandai Masala
- Almonds ¼ cup
- Cashews ¼ cup
- Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
- Melon seeds 2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
- Hemp Seeds 1 tbsp
- Black peppercorn 1 tbsp
- Sugar ½ cup
- Pistachios (optional) 1 tbsp
- Cardamon 15-20
For Thandai Drink
- 200 ml chilled milk
- 2 tbsp of the above thandai masala
- Few drops of rose water
- Few ice cubes
- Few saffron strands if you desire for a kesar thandai.
Instructions:
- Grind all the ingredients of thandai masala and make a powder
- Boil the milk with a few strands of saffron and let it chill
- When ready to serve take a glass of chilled milk(around 200 ml) and some ice cubes
- Add 2 tbsp of thandai masala powder and mix
- Add rose water
- Garnish with additional pistachios, hemp seeds and serve
